Paranaguai (Great Sea Round, in Tupi) is a city in the state of Paranà¡ in Brazil. Founded in 1648, it is Paranaguá's oldest city. It is known for its excellent port facilities, being the sea port for Curitiba, the capital of Paranà¡. Although Paranaguá is situated in the south part of Brazil, where temperatures are cooler, it is known for its extremely hot and humid summers and mild and also very humid winters.
