Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is a city in southwestern Quebec, in the Regional County Municipality of Beauharnois-Salaberry. The city has been the site of Les Régates de Valleyfield an international hydroplane race since 1938. In 1991, a tragic accident has occurred when two boats collided, killing a pilot and a man in the stands by some debris.
