Quezon City is the most populous and richest city in the Philippines. It is also the largest city inMetro Manila. Located on the island of Luzon, Quezon City is one of the cities that make up Metro Manila, the National Capital Region. The city was named after Manuel L. Quezon, former President of the Philippines, who founded the city and developed it to replace Manila as the country's capital for 28 years from 1948 to 1976.
